Why Vancouver?

This article is dedicated to all my friends back east and on the prairies.

I was asked last weekend, “imagine, if you had the choice to live ANYWHERE in the world, where would it be?” I thought long and hard about this one and truly there is only one place that I truly would want to permanently live, Vancouver.

To illustrate why I would want to live in a Starbucks, surfer, indie music culture let me explain my day today (which is a typical weekend day):

- Spent last night out with people from work downtown at Ceilis Irish Pub downtown, listening to live music, singing to Journey, and loving life.

- After going to bed at 3:30am, woke up at 9:30am to go hike the Squamish Chief with Tom.

- Came home to White Rock, enjoyed a glass of wine from La Frenz [Merlot], a Kelowna Vineyard

- Had a lazy night chilling with the fam’ on White Rock beach Why do I love this place?

Well, how many times places can you go from partying downtown, to hiking to the top of the world (view from the top of the Chief), to relaxing on the beach, reading Malcolm Gladwell all within 24 hours!?

Only one.

The place that I call home.
